About Council of Youth Mouvements in Israel
The Council of Youth Movements in Israel, established in 1974 and registered as a non-profit association in 1982, is a volunteer umbrella organization for the youth movements in Israel. CYMI functions as an auxiliary body and meeting place for the movements, which represent the entire political, religious and social spectrum. Within the CYMI framework, the heads of the movements address topical subjects such as education, youth involvement in social processes, and community projects, as well as current problems in Israeli society. All CYMI activity is nonpartisan and complies fully with the laws and spirit of the Zionist movement and the Proclamation of Israel’s Independence. CYMI also coordinates between the movements in matters such as nationwide field trips, summer camps, safety, health and security, and operates its own camp in Isfiya. CYMI maintains ties with corresponding youth councils in other nations and organizes youth delegation exchanges with them.
