CIS is a community-based organization, founded in 1986 with a mission to bring quality counseling to students and their families in New York City Public Schools. The philosophy of CIS is to identify, develop and reinforce the strengths and resilience inherit in everyone. We work from a multiple perspective approach, assessing each child's developmental, social, emotional, and cultural viewpoint.
