About Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association
COUNTIES MANUKAU KINDERGARTEN ASSOCIATION Your Local Kindergarten Providing 20 Hours Free for 2 - 5 Year Olds. We are a community based not-for-profit organisation, proud to have been providing quality and affordable early childhood education in the Franklin and Counties Manukau areas for over 60 years. Our 26 kindergartens provide high quality environments that reflect the local community, and qualified, registered early childhood teachers to work with your child. The Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association is registered with the Companies Office as an Incorporated Society, and is the legal entity for 26 member kindergartens. Association kindergartens are licensed early childhood education services and are required to meet the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 2008. All kindergartens operate on either a sessional or full day license for children from 2 years of age for the hours of operation stated on the individual kindergarten licence. The Association’s management structure includes a professional support scheme designed to monitor the quality of teaching and learning in all kindergartens. The Association and its kindergartens are independently reviewed by the Education Review Office every three years and the resulting reports are available for public information.
