About Countryside Children's Center
Established in 1977, Countryside Children's Center after-school programs have been steadfastly serving the Newton, MA community and enabling students, K-5, to do what children do best - be children. Spanning two campuses, and empowering over 150 children yearly, Countryside Children's Center after-school programs offer a wide variety of educationally, and physically stimulating activities such as the Runner’s Club, STEM Projects, Fine Arts, Specialized Crafts, Indoor and Outdoor Athletic Activities, Homework Club, Free Choice, and Structured Music Programs. With over 25 years of collective experience in education and the arts, our dedicated staff have a wide range of professional and personal knowledge that has allowed Countryside Children's Center to be recognized as one of the premier after school programs in the state of Massachusetts. Our namesake, the Countryside campus, located at 191 Dedham Street, Newton, MA, serves students from Countryside Elementary School in Newton, MA, while our Upper Falls campus, located at 20 Pettee Street, Newton - Upper Falls, (adjacent to the Emerson Playground), receives children from the aforementioned Countryside Elementary School, Angier Elementary School, Zervas Elementary School & Brown Elementary Middle School (Grades K-6), in Newton, MA. Registration opens in the Spring, preceding the start of academic school year, with currently enrolled families & alumni receiving priority consideration. We look forward to support your children and strengthening our bond with the Newton, MA community for many generations to come.
