Courtisane started with a yearly festival of short film, video and new media in 2002. Next to the festival, Courtisane works as a curator / filter / quality label for small scale events and short film and video programmings on other events in Belgium and abroad. The organisation explores the national and international field of audiovisual creation, presenting / contextualising film, video and new media projects from creators who challenge boundaries, are innovative, and give new meaning to existing concepts.
