About Couture Planet
Couture Planet®, a women-owned business in Lynn, Massachusetts, creates fashion‑forward handbags and accessories from 100% post-consumer newspaper. Our products are proudly MADE IN THE USA. Our statement-making bags, bearing headlines from the world of fashion, art, food, travel, sports, and much more, are available in a variety of styles and shapes. We invite you to explore our current collection online and at special events. We also welcome custom orders. Couture Planet® grew out of a recycling project in 2009. Today we manufacture our product line from a sewing shop in Lynn, Massachusetts. Business partners and owners Kathy Cormier and Michelle Kane are fully committed to creating a sustainable product—and business—in the local Lynn community while expanding the parameters of the MADE IN THE USA movement. The City of Lynn, MA has a long history as a manufacturing hub, and we aim to honor and grow this tradition. Our bags are sewn by talented artisans in our eco-conscious manufacturing facility. Our repurposed leather straps are made by a family-owned company here in New England. We employ the underserved and mentor students through a local jobs program. We are committed to connect, collaborate, and contribute to our community. It is possible to be eco-conscious, fashion-forward, and support one's community. Our Couture Planet products represent upcycling at its best. Recycle, Reuse, Reduce… RETHINK.
