Coventry Municipal Holdings has been incorporated by Coventry City Council as the holding company within which all other commercial entities wholly owned by the Council will reside. The company also provides a vehicle for further strategic investments to support sustainable commercial returns to the residents of Coventry. This corporate structure is established to enhance excellent governance through the Council's arms length companies, together with accelerating financial performance of the companies to offset other local government budget pressures - profit with a purpose. The role of Coventry Municipal Holdings, and it's Directors, is to hold to account the Council's arms length companies, including waste, leisure and resource businesses, ensuring experience and knowledge founded decision making, excellent governance, and achievement of financial and commercial objectives. These are held in balance with the 'profit for a purpose' vision, maintaining a strong ethical and social grounding as the companies support the municipal objectives of Coventry City Council.
