A full-service auction house, Cowan's Auctions reaches buyers around the globe and takes pride in its reputation for integrity, customer service, and great results. With offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Denver, Cowan’s holds over 40 auctions each year both online and live in our Cincinnati and Cleveland showrooms. As a leader in the industry, Cowan's has disrupted the marketplace from the start and was among the earliest auction houses to launch a website and sell online. In 2014, Cowan’s, along with five competitors, launched Bidsquare.com, an online bidding platform where auction houses are vetted to ensure honesty and quality. Founded in 1995, Cowan's started in founder and owner Wes Cowan's garage where he held mail-in and phone auctions. Wes quickly built a reputation as an expert who brought a new level of scholarship and honesty to the arena. Over the next few years the business grew rapidly as Cowan’s added experts in the fields of American Indian Art, Furniture, Paintings and Decorative Art, Jewelry, Antique Firearms, and 20th century Modern Ceramics.
