The CPLOT-Center for Production and Logistics Optimization Technologies is part of ISEP the School of Engineering of the Polytechnic of Porto. Created in 2022 as a knowledge transfer centre with the aim of uniting two distinct worlds, the academic and the business, by providing value-added services backed by state-of-the-art research and development know-how. Our Mission We provide highly customized solutions to our client’s specific challenges, supporting companies in the digital transformation of their production and logistics processes by creating, developing, and implementing solutions tailored to their business logic, based on the integration of the most advanced optimization techniques with the latest technologies. Our main purpose is to create value for companies through the four main pillars of the mission: Research: In partnership with companies, address complex real-world problems with ingenuity, passion, and workability to provide solutions that help businesses and society thrive. Knowledge Transfer: Transfer the knowledge and technology developed for the business environment, transforming them into innovation. Education: Develop dynamics of linking academic work to the real problems of companies/society; students work directly with researchers and industry experts on complex and challenging problems in all aspects related to the optimization of production management and supply chain management. Entrepreneurship: Stimulate students, researchers, and professors for entrepreneurship creating dynamics of cooperation between the needs of the business/society and academia.
