Creative Arts & Sports (C.A.S.) is a youth basketball program based in the heart of New York City, offering a mix of fun, high-level training for boys and girls in grades 1–10. From weekly classes and travel teams to private coaching and summer camps in SoHo and the Hamptons, our goal is simple: help kids grow through the game. At C.A.S., basketball is the foundation — but what we’re really building is confidence, community, and character. We’ve created a space where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to show up. Whether it’s their first time picking up a ball or they’re working toward the next level, every child gets personal attention, encouragement, and the tools they need to thrive on and off the court. What makes us stand out is how much we care — about the little things, about how kids feel, and about who they’re becoming. Our coaches are positive, experienced, and fully invested in every child’s journey. Parents often tell us their kids leave the gym taller — not just physically, but emotionally too. C.A.S. was founded in 2021 by Coach Mark McCarroll, a former pro player, Christ the King alum, and proud Queens native who played at the University of Pittsburgh before going overseas. After an injury ended his playing career, Mark shifted his focus to giving back — coaching at top NYC programs and mentoring young athletes across the city. His calm energy, genuine care, and deep basketball knowledge are the heart of everything we do. Since launching, we’ve worked with families across all five boroughs and partnered with schools and community organizations to bring great basketball experiences to more kids.
