About Creative Pension Consultants
CPC is an independent third-party administrator ("TPA") for retirement plans, from traditional defined benefit through profit sharing, 401(k), 403(b), cash balance, cafeteria benefits, and more. While we perform full administration with the best of them (and better than the rest of them), our true strength is the higher-level consulting and plan design that makes the plan worthwhile to the entity sponsoring it. We start with designing your plan to fit your needs, walking you through a pre-approved template with over 40 pages of options. We prepare the document, and perform all aspects of annual administration, such as calculating and allocating the employer contribution, non-discrimination testing, and preparing the Form 5500; we don't give you a website to make you figure it out yourself. We consult when we see things not working correctly, or in response to your changing business. We also represent you before the IRS and DOL when necessary. In short, we are a full-service firm. We are one piece of your retirement solution. We are not your broker or financial advisor, so we don't monitor your investments. We are not an investment company, so we don't hold your actual plan assets. We are not accountants, though we do work closely with them to help them help you. We work with the other pieces of your consulting team that you already have in place - this de-centralized approach allows each of us to excel in our own fields to deliver you the best overall plan.
