Creativity Sown is a company that provides editorial, training and consultancy services for publishing houses, those institutions, universities, colleges, schools and eLearning providers offering teacher training or the teaching of second or other languages online, as hybrid courses and/or as face-to-face courses, and those who want to self-publish their own work, be it of fiction or non-fiction. The founder of the company, Kirsten Holt, has over 30 years' experience in education, working first as a teacher, then as a teacher and teacher trainer, before becoming a trainer of teacher trainers, teacher training coordinator and school manager (Director of Studies and Acting Principal). She moved over to publishing, as an editor learning the ropes as a copy editor and proofreader, then content development editor and commissioning editor, before moving into the role of publisher, working on print and eLearning primary, secondary, adult and ESP multi-level courses and teacher professional development content. She later became the Head of the Teacher Professional Development Division (within English Language Teaching industry) at two leading publishing houses. Throughout her career, she has regularly given presentations at international conferences, written web content and teacher resources, trained others in emerging pedagogues and teaching trends, and mentored colleagues and authors to bring out the best of their abilities. Kirsten has also worked with key Ministries of Education, governing teaching bodies and organisations to establish best practice, commission suitable content for their teachers, and define teaching competences, and has run bespoke training courses for large language school chains. Creativity Sown encapsulates this varied experience and works with others to take their ideas from conception to fruition.
