Creston Valley Tourism is the official Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) for the Creston Valley region of British Columbia, Canada. We’re a not-for-profit society dedicated to growing and supporting the local tourism economy by promoting the region’s unique mix of agriculture, natural beauty, arts and culture, and small-town charm. Our geographic area spans from Yahk to the top of Kootenay Pass, and from the US border north to the southern tip of Kootenay Lake. Our mission is threefold: 📣 Marketing – Attracting visitors through strategic marketing, digital campaigns, and print materials like the Visitor Guide and Hiking Map. 🎯 Experience Development – Showcasing and enhancing local visitor experiences that celebrate our natural environment, food culture, and community. 🤝 Leadership & Advocacy – Collaborating with local stakeholders and representing the tourism sector in decision-making processes. We manage and maintain ExploreCrestonValley.com — the official tourism website and event calendar for the region — and reach thousands of potential visitors each month through web content, social media, and print distribution throughout BC, Alberta, and the NW USA. Creston Valley Tourism is governed by a volunteer board of directors, with broad representation from the tourism and business community. We work closely with industry partners including Destination BC, Kootenay Rockies Tourism, and the International Selkirk Loop. Together, we aim to support sustainable, year-round tourism growth that benefits local businesses, residents, and visitors alike.
