About CRGS | Genome Research Center for Health
Genome Research Center for Health (CRGS) was born from the GENOME and HEALTH project of the intelligent specialization strategy RIS3 Campania - "Campania fights against cancer" - and represents the first large high-capacity research and development infrastructure dedicated to genomics and translational bioinformatics research for health, with particular emphasis on oncology and precision medicine. The objective of the CRGS is to implement research in genomic medicine, making technologies and technical-scientific skills in genomics, bioinformatics and computational biology available to the scientific and medical community. The Center is divided into three poles: - University of Salerno, Baronissi Medical Campus; - University of Sannio, Benevento; - Biogem Scarl, Ariano Irpino (AV). It was promoted by Universities and private Partners operating in the world of research and health services, with co-financing from the Campania Region. The nature of the Center is being a Research Infrastructure inspired by the principles of Open Science and therefore aimed at collaboration with individuals and groups of researchers.
