Dorset Cricket is the governing body responsible for the development and delivery of recreational and representative cricket across Dorset. We closely partner with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), local authorities, schools, clubs, and community organisations to grow the game at every level — from grassroots participation to high-performance pathways. Our vision is to make cricket a game for everyone, everywhere in Dorset. We manage county representative teams (male and female) across all age groups, deliver talent pathway programmes, support over 60 affiliated clubs, and facilitate competitions, school programmes, coach development, and safeguarding. We are also growing our commercial and marketing footprint, building strategic partnerships that align with our values and expand the reach and relevance of cricket across Dorset’s business and civic communities. Initiatives like the Dorset Women’s Showcase (#DWS25) and sponsorship of representative teams and players are central to our efforts to connect cricket with local pride, innovation, and investment.
