Croft Associates Limited (Croft) specialises in all aspects of the packaging and transport of radioactive materials. Since establishment in 1980, Croft has developed an extensive range of packaging designs for standard products, and for customers' individual requirements. Our customers are often governmental organisations and private companies in the nuclear materials and waste industries. In addition, research reactors, hospitals and medical equipment suppliers use our products to transport radioactive materials for medical applications. All of Croft's designs meet the requirements of the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency regulations for the safe transport of radioactive material. In the development of the packaging, from design, through testing, to the preparation of the safety documentation, Croft has gained considerable experience of obtaining certificates of approval from the UK and other Competent Authorities. We use specialist sub-contract manufacturers for the fabrication of packaging, and we are experienced in all aspects of manufacture including project management, cost control and quality assurance. The Croft Quality Management system covering all aspects of the design, manufacture, testing and licensing of packaging for radioactive materials is approved to ISO 9001:2015 and is audited by the British Standards Institution and the UK Competent Authority, the Department for Transport. The Quality Management System is approved by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
