Crooker Construction, LLC is one of Maine’s most experienced earthwork, utility, and paving contractors. Since the mid 1930’s Crooker has been providing superior construction services throughout the Mid-Coast region, building our reputation as efficient, reliable and dedicated to our customers. Started in 1935, Crooker has transitioned from one man and a shovel to the construction industry leader we are today. In 2014 the ownership changed hands from Harry C. Crooker and Sons, Inc. to Crooker Construction, LLC, now led by President and CEO Tom Sturgeon. Tom was the Chief Engineer for 26 years and has been using his industry experience to grow Crooker to the 250-employee company we are today. Our most valuable resource is our people. We have a highly skilled local labor force, many who have 20, 30 or even 40 years’ experience in the industry. These leaders are always training the next generation, as we believe internal training is essential. We also have borrow pits, quarries, and the latest equipment necessary to provide our clients with superior service. Crooker is also a leader in community involvement. We support charitable organizations and programs such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick, Midcoast Hospital, Maine Maritime Museum and many regional school districts and sporting programs. Giving back and supporting our community has always been a priority.
