About Crow Labs

We are developing the blockchain Crow using the Cosmos SDK. Currently, the best way to buy anything physical with cryptocurrencies is to go through some centralized entity. This could be selling a coin on a centralized exchange and then using a fiat currency or even paying an online store that accepts crypto. Crow solves this problem by creating a decentralized marketplace for physical goods which uses an escrow-based payment process for any IBC token. Both buyers and sellers are protected by the community of stakers who can vote to settle disputes and punish either party with on-chain jailtime or a blacklisted status if deemed necessary. Collateral is seized from the party which is determined to be guilty and distributed to those who voted on the dispute according to their voting power, or amount staked. By taking this approach, Crow enables the use of decentralized money to purchase physical goods online without introducing any sort of centralized power or authority.
