Our Story: In the heart of the Central Valley, General Surgeon Dr. Jorge Enriquez and his wife, Karla Terrazas, faced a troubling reality: uninsured and limited coverage patients struggling to access surgery. Driven by compassion, they founded CSF Surgery in 2010, uniting a dedicated team of surgeons and medical professionals to tackle this pressing issue. Thanks to their collaboration, CSF has reduced surgery costs by over 80% for patients. Recognizing that many individuals still needed financial support, in 2013 Executive Director Karla established CSF Medical Non-Profit Foundation. This nonprofit focuses on funding surgeries and medical services while prioritizing prevention. Karla’s vision for early detection inspired her to launch one of Kern County’s largest annual health fairs. At this event, both insured and uninsured individuals can access free medical screenings designed for early detection and treatment, potentially leading to necessary surgeries. CSF Foundation also offers crucial support and guidance to help patients navigate their healthcare journeys. Through their tireless efforts, CSF has empowered thousands of patients to identify and treat serious health issues, from kidney stones to cancer, transforming lives and instilling hope in the community.
