I have owned a successful Wealth Management and Estate Planning firm in Tempe since 2003. As my clientele aged, I found myself referring out an increasing number of them for Medicare plans. To get started you'll need the following: 1) State Health Insurance License 2) Pass the AHIP federal Medicare competency test 3) Have Errors & Emissions Insurance 4) Connect with an outstanding FMO Upline and Mentoring Agent 5) Carrier Certification Testing 6) Training, Training, Training.... A FMO Upline will - - help you acquire carrier contracts, compliance, commissions, and give high level training. A Mentoring Agent (like myself) is much smaller and closer to the sales action. I help agents with on-boarding, training, strategic planning, marketing, lead generation, coaching, on call support, and expertise for everything on "the ground."
