Cucina Classica Started when a chef from Italy, a coffee roaster, an artisan pastry chef, and an entrepreneurial restauranteur lamented the quality of Italian café food across Australia. They all felt that Australians were being offered an old-fashioned caricature of Italian food, at odds with the vibrant contemporary food of modern restaurants and stylish cafés of Italy. This was their training ground and their passion ever since. The four partners created an award- winning restaurant in Adelaide in 1996, and from there a café franchise throughout the state. The café chain was acquired by a international private equity company with plans to take the concept nationally. This gave the partners the opportunity to explore new opportunities. They took the food philosophy from their original restaurant and developed a range of take-home ready meals that could be made available from food focus supermarkets across the country. Cucina Classica`s reputation was built serving authentic Italian recipes `Alla Moda’ (food in Italy now) using the finest Australian produce. In December 2021, Today, the entrepreneurial restauranteur Roberto Cardone took over Cucina Classica and continues delivering the `Alla Moda' Italian food experiences in the comfort of Australian homes.
