About Culverhouse Business Honors Program
About Us The Culverhouse Business Honors Program (BHP) at The University of Alabama is an elite, cohort-based initiative within the Culverhouse College of Business, comprising 90 high-achieving sophomores, juniors, and seniors. BHP is dedicated to cultivating strategic, ethical, and analytical leaders through a rigorous five-semester curriculum that emphasizes process excellence—a core principle championed by our faculty.  What We Offer • Consulting-Based Projects: Students engage in hands-on consulting projects with both nonprofit and for-profit clients, tackling real-world business challenges and delivering actionable solutions.  • Process Excellence: A cornerstone of our program, process excellence is integrated into all aspects of the curriculum, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency. • Professional Development: Through workshops, seminars, and mentorship, students develop essential skills in leadership, communication, and strategic thinking. • Corporate Engagement: BHP hosts a variety of in-class speakers and networking events, connecting students with industry leaders from companies such as Google, Boeing, Meta, and Lockheed Martin.  • Research Opportunities: The program places a strong emphasis on independent research, encouraging students to explore qualitative measures to assist clients and resolve complex problems.  • Honors Recognition: Graduates of the program earn Honors College credits for selected Culverhouse College of Business classes and receive Business Honors recognition upon completion.
