Curated by La Vie Company is a dream come true for founders Eric and Lane Sheffield-Ross. Shortly after meeting Eric and Lane spent hours dreaming of what life would look like, where their respective careers would take them and where they would end up spending their lives together. These late-night conversations led to naming their future retail company, “La Vie Company”. The name was birth five years before there was a store to name. While Eric and Lane were both established in their career fields, Lane a family company and Eric a fortune 20 company, the desire to do something on their own free of the corporate bureaucracy was birth. In 2019 the pair decided it was time to make a major life change. Eric and Lane started their boutique retail story in Mt Pleasant, Texas, by establishing La Vie Company Boutiques, a large “Boutique Department Store”. The boutique retail journey quickly evolved with the additional opening of Seasons by La Vie, a seasonal décor boutique and The Bakery by La Vie, a boutique bakery. (This group is now known as “Seasons” and is thriving in Mt Pleasant, Texas, under the daily direction of Lane’s parents.) In 2020, during the height of the covid pandemic, the opportunity presented itself to open an additional, more intimate and art focused location in historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Alas, during the hardest time imaginable to open a retail shop, the couple took the chance and Curated was born. Curated is home to the work of some of the Northwest Arkansas region's most talented artists. The shop also features some of Eric and Lane’s favorite artisan home goods and gift collections.
