CurtisE Learning is a premium tutoring company comprised of licensed, experienced educators dedicated to instructing and mentoring all types of students at various stages in their learning journeys through college and beyond. We tailor admissions test preparation, subject tutoring, and school admissions strategies based on individual needs and strengths. Our mission is not solely to guide clients toward the desired grade or score but to also foster a life-long love of learning- to be ever "Engaged and Engaging." The CurtisE Philosophy: Learning should be fun and rewarding. The purpose of education, in general, is imparting or gaining knowledge, skills, values, etc., but its purpose extends beyond the classroom. Hopefully, educated individuals will become life-long learners and responsible, open-minded citizens. Furthermore, successful students will enter the world armed with tools that will enhance the well-being of their communities and their own life experiences. Thus, education is key in leading fulfilling, meaningful, and rich lives. This is education’s ultimate goal. In striving for these outcomes, a teacher must be more than a navigator to knowledge. He or she is morally obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest expectations for each student. Thus, the teacher maximizes the positive benefits that naturally come along with any self-fulfilling prophecy; with dedication, perseverance, and hard work, his or her students will rise to the occasion. An effective teacher should possess the four “E”s: Enthusiasm, Energy, Empathy, and Enjoyment. An open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations should be present in the classroom each day. Educators owe it to students, and therefore the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to the task of inspiring the same traits in our future citizens, leaders, and teachers.
