About Cutthroat Grip, Lighting & Stage
The space is located just south of downtown Salt Lake City and is adjacent to both the I-15 and I-80 corridors. A 15 minute drive from the airport, ample parking, and a light-rail station within walking distance assures easy access to our facility,.. as our location sits in the hub of the valley. Our Sound Stage is 65’x45’ with a large 30’x30' foyer/production area off to the side. The stage features a 45’x39’ Cyc Wall, 12’x12’ lighting grid fixed 18’ overhead. The grid is pre-rigged with full RGB, Wireless DMX Space and Cyc lights controlled via the Blackout iPad App Lighting Console. The stage is also treated with sound absorbing panels, and is flanked by a large blackout curtain that does an excelling job killing sound and light reflections. A 1-Ton grip package, multiple folding tabes and chairs are included in the booking of the stage. Additional lighting and grip equipment are available to rent. For an itemized list, please visit our website below. On a mezzanine off the side of the stage you can relax, watch tv, play darts, billiards, or conduct a preproduction meeting using our whiteboard and conference table. It also has a large full kitchen with stocked fridge, a makeup room, bathrooms, shower, a green room area for talent to relax, and a client booth is in the works. While the brick & mortar aspects of the stage are neat, what makes the space great is our commitment to artists and community. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and creative environment for everyone, by hosting events, meetups, panels, clinics, etc. Our hope is that we will not only serve as the top studio in SLC for our professional clients, but that it will also benefit the next generation of photographers, filmmakers, and artists who haven’t yet had the opportunity they all deserve.
