Gus (Dave Guthardt) started the company in the late 90s after being in the industry and working for others for more than a decade. He fell in love with signwriting in the 80s due to the hands-on artistic aspect of the profession. Brush, paint, gold leaf and a lot of creativity. Starting in a tiny garage in the Victory area Gus dreamt of making Cutting Edge the largest signage solution provider in the region. However, soon after that the industry experienced a sudden paradigm shift. The computers arrived. The wide-format digital printers arrived. Staying cutting edge meant quick upskilling and a significant capital investment. With courage and resolution Gus took the next big leap and was the first sign business to introduce digital printing in our region. And since then we have been nothing but cutting edge.
