We are a biodiversity company using plant cell agriculture to protect the planet & its inhabitants. Our database of plant compounds linked to our in vitro collection of plant cell lines enables the production of known and novel materials. We collaborate with different industry partners to unlock potential applications, through our searchable AI-platform, Hummingbird. Beyond accelerated discovery, we are growing a novel supply of cost-effective, high purity, and traceable ingredients, on-demand. We eliminate the risk of raw material sourcing from natural environments. Wild plant tissues serve as our “starting” material from which we generate cell lines to preserve genetic diversity of the plant species population. Beyond preserving the present-day snapshot of each specific plant collected, we create a stock of the cells that can be kept and propagated forever. 🌱 We focus on disrupting product markets in which the current mainstream options carry heavy environmental footprints and are actively contributing to biodiversity loss during their life cycle. We prioritize our pipeline in terms of product applications that can enable the deceleration and reversal of the main drivers of biodiversity loss: changes in land use, direct exploitation of natural resources, pollution, invasive alien species, and climate change.
