About Cybersecurity & Cryptography Lab (CCL) - CEHC - UAlbany
The CCL is dedicated to the analysis and design of cryptographic protocols, addressing security vulnerabilities that arise from edits such as performance optimizations. We employ rigorous verification and analysis methods to ensure robust security. Our lab strives to integrate security into every phase of software development and offers hands-on experience through projects like Cryptosolve. We also explore cybersecurity issues in emerging areas such as AI, including attacks on LLM chatbots, video game ethics and privacy concerns, and developing models. Our research extends to quantum computing and the development of educational video games for training on cybersecurity topics such as phishing. We provide diverse roles, including research, project management, literature reviews, data analysis, and coding. Our interdisciplinary approach caters to students from Information Science, Informatics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and other related majors at UAlbany. The CCL collaborates with industry, government, and academic partners to drive impactful research and innovation. Looking ahead, we aim to expand our research into new areas and continue developing solutions to pressing cybersecurity challenges. The CCL is part of the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity at the University at Albany.
