About CyberUp
CyberUp is a nonprofit organization focused on creating accessible pathways to cybersecurity careers. Since 2015, we’ve been working to address the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals while helping individuals discover, develop, and thrive in the field. Our approach is built on three impactful programs: PowerUp (K-12 Outreach): Through hands-on activities and classroom engagement, we introduce students to cybersecurity concepts and career possibilities. From basic cyber safety for K-8 students to in-depth career exploration for grades 6-12, PowerUp inspires the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. LevelUp Training (CompTIA Security+ Certification): Designed for motivated individuals from all backgrounds, our self-paced and instructor-led training programs prepare participants for industry certifications like CompTIA Security+. These programs help individuals gain the skills and knowledge needed to start meaningful careers in cybersecurity. CyberUp Apprenticeship: We work with employers to offer apprenticeship opportunities that combine hands-on experience with tailored certifications. Over 12 months, apprentices gain practical knowledge and mentorship to build lasting careers while employers secure skilled talent for their teams. Our mission is simple: to elevate the cybersecurity workforce by igniting curiosity, developing talent, and transforming career pathways.
