Cyclo Nord-Sud oeuvre à la promotion du développement durable visant le respect de la biosphère et des personnes qui l'habitent. Notre action et le message qui l'accompagne, se situent dans une perspective intégrant une plus grande justice sociale, les échanges équitables, la promotion des femmes, la solidarité internationale, la mobilité non-motorisée et le réemploi des matières résiduelles. Cyclo Nord-Sud est une initiative de la Société d’éducation pour le cyclisme à Montréal, un organisme sans but lucratif fondé en 1988 et détenteur du statut officiel d’organisme de bienfaisance (No 13096 4786 RR0001). Cyclo Nord-Sud collects used bikes in order to ship them to poor communities in Southern countries to be used for transportation and to fight against poverty. Cyclo Nord-Sud promotes sustainable development based on respect for the biosphere and its inhabitants. Its actions are part of a broader vision of promoting non-motorized transportation, re-use of ressources, social justice, fair trade, women's issues and international solidarity. To date, Cyclo Nord-Sud has shipped 36,000 bikes to 16 different countries. Winner of many prizes, Cyclo Nord-Sud was created by the Société d’éducation pour le cyclisme à Montréal, a registered charity.
