About Cypress Fund
Cypress Fund is a movement-centered fund that invests in BIPOC-led organizing, healing, and infrastructure in the Carolinas, and cross-race x cross-class organizing. Rooted in Black queer feminist traditions, we exist to move resources, shift power, and build the conditions for collective liberation in the South. We believe that those closest to the harm are closest to the solutions, and we follow their lead. Through trust-based grantmaking, political education, and donor organizing, we support the brilliance of rural, poor, queer, trans, and Southern BIPOC communities shaping the future of our region. Whether it’s fighting for reproductive justice, building political infrastructure, defending land, or cultivating collective care, our partners are creating strategies for freedom that are bold, brilliant, and deeply rooted.
