About D's Divine Sewing Center
D's Divine Sewing Center is a Non-Governmental organization specialized in promoting self-reliance through provision of free vocational training (Sewing) for the unprivileged youth (women and girls) such as sewing to help to alleviate poverty in the community. As teacher and a caring mother, our founder observed that due to high levels of poverty in the community, graduates from her class could not further their education despite obtaining excellent grades in school. Moved by the plight of the girls and women in the community, she decided to contribute in her way, using personal finances and time help provide vocational training, free of charge Mission Statement Our mission is to promote self- reliance via provision of trade skills such as sewing to the underprivilege youth (women and girls), so that they can contribute positively to the society and help improve their socioeconomic status Vision Statement We envision towards empowering our youth future endeavors through alternative income generating skills and teach the next generations real-world skills that teach them to not just take a job but also to create jobs and also build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, promote academic excellence. Program Objectives • We are a company (NGO) that is purposefully created to encourage (women and girls) the youth in embarking on skill development through the acquisition of handiwork techniques • We encourage the youth (women and girls) to be self-sustaining in order to alleviate poverty and provide for their families • Make life easier for women
