Chef George has been a Culinary Professional for 40 years as a Chef working in fine dining in New York, New Jersey, and Florida as well as Executive Chef in corporate and educational dining facilities throughout Florida. He proudly served in the US Navy as a Chef. He started out experimenting with barbecue sauce recipes several years ago out of necessity whenever we found ourselves out of our store-bought sauces. We liked to give the homemade sauce out to friends and family for gifts and holidays. Later, Chef George was introduced to Ghost Peppers by a friend and started to grow his own plants. One day, he incorporated the ghost pepper into his homemade barbecue sauce. It went over so well that as a family, we were encouraged to bottle the sauce. We developed the recipe in our kitchen and used a shared kitchen to bottle the sauce in mason jars to sell at farmer's markets. We developed a good following at our local markets in Florida and shortly afterward decided to partner with a co-packer in the Orlando area nearby our home. We started out with our Mildly Spiced Honey Barbecue Sauce and our Ghost Pepper Honey Barbecue Sauce. Both sauces are known for their layers of flavors with an excellent balance of sweetness and spices. The Ghost Pepper version of the sauce has what we like to call a "fun heat". It brings you up to a modest level of heat intensity which levels off nicely so you can still enjoy your food. These sauces are very versatile and are especially great on ribs and chicken wings.
