About Dalhousie Governance
Dalhousie Governance is an investment management consulting firm founded in Hong Kong by Neil Mackie. Leveraging 20+ years of alternative investment industry experience, the primary service is provision of independent non-executive directorships to alternative funds. We also provide Operational Due Diligence (ODD) consulting services as a trusted partner to institutional investors and fund managers to identify and help mitigate non-investment risks. Neil Mackie is a member of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA). About Neil Mackie, Founder and Director Neil Mackie is a hedge fund veteran and thought leader with more than 20 years’ relevant experience in COO, Compliance Officer and ODD consultant roles in Hong Kong, Singapore and London. He is a Registered Director with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) under the Directors Registration and Licensing Law. Neil is also an active member of the AIMA Hong Kong Development Committee and is part of the AIMA Valuation of Investments Working Group. Prior to establishing Dalhousie Governance, Neil was Partner and Head of ODD, Asia Pacific for Albourne Partners, a leading alternative investment consultant. Across an 11-year career with Albourne Partners, Neil was involved with close to 400 ODD exercises on hedge and private markets managers and funds on behalf of institutional investors. Neil has proven abilities in communicating detailed feedback to managers and global investors on non-investment risks and recommendations on their mitigation in line with both industry best practices and peer group standards.
