About Dallas Breakfast Group
The Dallas Breakfast Group (DBG) has a unique mission – to increase participation by Dallas-area business executives and civic leaders in local elections and local affairs. Several of Dallas’ leading business leaders established the Dallas Breakfast Group in 1986 to help identify and support quality candidates running for the Dallas City Council, the Dallas School Board, and the Dallas County Community College District’s Board of Trustees. They also sought qualified individuals for City of Dallas boards and commissions. Over the years, the organization has also served as a vehicle for business leaders to meet with local elected and governmental officials in an informal manner. Members join the Dallas Breakfast Group because of their interest in Dallas civic and political affairs. They support the general principle that the quality of the candidates who seek local office do impact the quality of our local governmental institutions.
