About Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals
The Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League of Young Professionals (DFWULYP) is an auxiliary of the National Urban League. DFWULYP was founded in 1991 (formerly the Young Adult Council) with members ages 21 to 40, who are developed to advance the aims of the National Urban League into the future. We are currently housed under the Houston Urban League and with their tireless support, DFWULYP has been able to grow and reach more communities in need in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Our members represent a cross-section of the professional population in Dallas. We have access to approximately 2,000 young professionals spanning across all cultural and career backgrounds. We have increased our membership by 22% in the past year bringing us to a total 311 members and counting. We support the programs of the National Urban League and National Urban League Young Professionals in the areas of Education, Health, Employment, Housing, and Technology. We also identify needs within our community that we are uniquely able to fill, lending our talents and resources to create solutions.
