About DAMA Chicago

The Data Administration Management Association (DAMA Chicago) is a DAMA International® affiliated, non-profit, vendor independent professional organization composed of technical and business professionals dedicated to the advancement of data asset management concepts and practices of information and data management. DAMA Chicago’s *mission* is to engage in activities that promote data asset management concepts and to broaden the skills of professionals who work in this field. We strive to support and provide resources to data professionals by offering educational channels and professional networking opportunities. Our *goals* are: * To promote and develop data asset management concepts and practices. * To be a focal point for issues relating to data asset management practices. * To further the professional development of data asset management professionals. * To enhance Corporate Management’s understanding of how data asset management affects the bottom line. *Member Benefits* DAMA Chicago members are invited to quarterly general Chapter meetings that include featured expert presenters, informal round-table discussions, and panel discussions. * Members receive a copy of meeting presentations. * Members can attend meetings in-person that are conducted across the Chicagoland area or virtually. * Members can participate in Special Interest Groups (SIGs), networking events, certification training, transition assistance, and much more. * Members can take advantage of discounts for data conference registration fees and publications.
