Dance & Arts Therapy New Zealand is a charity that empowers individuals and groups using creative arts therapy. We provide support to people of all ages, and all situations, including people living with disabilities, mental illness, tamariki from low-income neighbourhoods and survivors of sexual abuse. The DTNZ therapy team is highly qualified. Our team’s diverse experience includes those who have trained as dance movement therapists internationally, therapists who have completed or are completing clinical arts therapy training in NZ specialising in dance movement therapy, and dance education specialists who focus on the fusion of disability and dance. We currently offer 17 therapeutic programmes around the country as well as various outreach projects including parent and teacher workshops. As the complexities of modern-day life continues to change and evolve, we’re seeing the demand and interest in our services grow. Our extraordinary organisation has always depended on charitable support.
