About Dancers over 40
Our History—And Mission Dancers Over 40, Inc. was created as a not-for-profit organization to provide a community of support in response to the needs of mature dancers, choreographers and related artists. Our goals include seeking educational opportunities, presenting seminars and panel discussions and social events geared to topics relevant to mature dancers, whose present-day concerns are focused on their ability to continue to live and work in a creative environment. And last but not least, our wish is to continue the legacy to all those dancers about to begin this exciting journey – in the company of good friends. Our Legacy – And Task Dancers Over 40 is committed to cultivating and encouraging our members to continue in their creative growth, whether it be through dance, or other artistic endeavors, and to promote the talents of the mature dance population. However, just as we reach out to include our modern and ballet brothers and sisters, we also engage younger, potential members to ensure that our Legacy – and organization – continue.
