About Danceworld
Danceworld was established 20 years ago in Ballina, Co. Mayo under the founder and creative director Áine Egan, who started Danceworld with a passion for dance and the arts and turned that passion into a successful business. From its humble beginnings, it has gone from strength to strength, establishing itself with schools running across the county with classes in Ballina, Ballinrobe, Belmullet, Castlebar, Claremorris and Westport. Danceworld classes are designed to appeal to boys and girls from ages 4 and half years upwards with recreational classes on weekdays and Saturday mornings. In our syllabus, we educate our students in many genres of dance, ranging from different styles of hip hop, contemporary and musical theatre. We are a non-competitive stage school, with no grading or exams. We pride ourselves on creating the best possible experience for our students to aid the growth of their self-confidence. For us, it is not only dancing. The development of a child's confidence at their own pace, is at the heart of what we do, while working towards our annual summer showcase, where every student has the equal opportunity to feel like a star on a stage of possibilities.
