About Dandelion Seeds Foundation
Dandelion Seeds Foundation is a registered Charity (Charity No: 1184674) whose primary purpose is the relief of those affected by emotional and physical distress by the provision of grants, services and public education. Dandelion Seeds Foundation will offer grants to individuals in order to help them access treatments or services they could not otherwise obtain due to financial or other constraints. The Charity has a strong focus on working collaboratively with other third sector organisations and seeks to enhance and complement existing health and wellbeing services. We will initially work with groups in Somerset and Devon, where it has contacts but will seek, over time, to develop links with new areas across the United Kingdom. Increasingly, the public are seeking new or alternative ways to improve the quality of their lives and health by turning to lifestyle medicine, complementary and alternative treatments, diet and nutrition. We aim to provide access to information, advice and support to organisations and individuals about complementary and alternative therapies and care services that are known to have beneficial effects on health and wellbeing. Promoting and providing complementary and alternative treatments, ancillary to existing services, will add to the choices of its beneficiaries and will reduce reliance on the NHS for alternatives to conventional medicine and care. By running workshops, seminars and events the Charity will educate and inform the public about health and wellness options that can be made available
