Europe's leading, largest, and oldest producer of fresh warm-smoked trout. Since its beginnings in 1939, Danforel has been a private corporation that now employs around 140 people. Today we are Europe's leading, largest, and oldest producer of smoked trout fillets. Efficient production with dedicated employees Smoked trout fillets with Danforel's high quality and freshness are the result of our carefully organised, modern production in Grindsted. Daily we produce up to 120,000 consumer packs daily at our 15,000 m2 factory in Grindsted, Denmark. The majority comes from our own six aquaculture facilities. All our fish are ASC certified for responsible farming. Danforel is IFS certified and the majority of our fish is MAP packed to give the consumer the best quality. With more than 75 years in the business, we know what is important to the consumer and to our customers. We value a good working environment and a positive company culture.
