About Danske Flådeskibe K/S
In the summer of 2021, the Danish Ministry of Defense published a broad political agreement that the Danish navy must be strengthened with a new multifunctional patrol ship type. While the Navy's current patrol ships carry out patrolling and monitoring of Danish waters and participate in rescue missions (SAR), the patrol ships of the future must be able to carry out more complex defense and environmental tasks. The new ship type is being developed to handle a wide range of complex military and civilian tasks and will future-proof the Navy's ability to defend and secure Danish waters. Danske Flådeskibe K/S is a consortium formed by OMT Group, Terma and PensionDanmark, while Semco Maritime has entered into an agreement with a view to become a consortium partner. The purpose of the consortium is to offer itself as a total supplier for the Danish Navy's future multifunctional patrol ships. As a total supplier, Danske Flådeskibe will shoulder the responsibility for designing an innovative and modular ship design, building the ships and securing the Navy's investment through careful maintenance of the new patrol ships.
