About DAR Museum
The DAR Museum, founded in 1890 along with the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, tells the story of American home life from the 18th through early 20th century through a collection of 30,000 objects, period rooms, and rotating exhibitions. Using the lens of the varied interpretations of home, we inspire conversations about the diverse American experience encouraging people to discover common ground.
