Dare to Lead is a concept built on developing leadership skills through sailing that can be translated back into commercial companies, public organisations and local communities. The Liyaba Rainbow Foundation was created to provide young people from South African townships and underprivileged backgrounds with a unique opportunity to take part in our ambassador programme. Our aim is to provide an experience that will help provide them with key skills but to simultaneously challenge them mentally & physically. Liyaba Rainbow Foundation Mission: * Equip ambassadors with crucial life skills, such as teamwork, communication and coordination. * Challenge and encourage ambassadors to become leaders in their communities using their newly learned skills and individual mentoring and support programmes. * Develop Ambassadors to become a source of inspiration and motivation to bring change to their peers and community as a whole. * Support selected youths in their individual development after participating in the Clipper Race.
