About Data Systems Design
Data Systems Design SRL Company was founded in July 2003 as RIS Romania SRL having its main shareholder Resource Information Systems (RIS) Canada Inc. company. In November 2008 Sierra Systems Canada acquires RIS Canada and becomes the main shareholder of RIS Romania SRL, whose name changes in August 2010 to Sierra Systems Solutions Romania SRL. Since July 2011 the company has fully Romanian shareholders and the name becomes Data Systems Design SRL. Since July 2003 until today, the fiscal identity of the company has remained unchanged. During its history of thirteen years, the main software orientations of the company were the following: execution of activities aimed on designing, developing, implementing and maintaining IT applications for customers in North America and Western Europe. Acquisition of the projects was made by the parent company RIS Canada, and Sierra Systems. The main customers have been: CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway), Mars Canada (Effem Inc. Canada.), Mars USA (Effem Inc. USA.), Mars United Kingdom, Toyota Canada, Trimac, Pilkington, Talisman Energy Canada, Talisman Energy Norway. Since March 2007 the company was oriented also on developing activity design, development, implementation and maintenance of software applications for internal customers, based in Romania. Main customers of these activities are: Alvarion (Israel comapany oriented on wireless communications), UniferTrans, ServTrans Invest, GFR and CFR Marfa.
