About Database Center for North Korean Human Rights

The Database Center for North Korean Human Rights (NKDB) is dedicated to protecting the human rights of the North Korean people living under the regime of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Founded in 2003, NKDB works towards the improvement of North Korean human rights through a variety of ways including data collection and analysis, monitoring, resettlement support, psychological counseling, as well as advocacy efforts to raise international awareness of the human rights situation in North Korea. NKDB strives to improve the conditions facing North Koreans based on the principles of equality and humanity. By raising international awareness, pressuring the DPRK to adhere to international standards and facilitating the efforts of other human rights organizations, NKDB works towards change in North Korea. Our organization will continue its efforts until the basic human rights of all people living in North Korea are ensured.
