“Together, we can make trials better!” Clinical development is an essential component of bringing new, innovative medicines to market. It is conducted to answer specific questions with scientific rigour about whether experimental treatments are safe and effective enough to start prescribing to patients. But the current approach to clinical development has some fundamental flaws, and both patients and the healthcare system as a whole are suffering as a result.
