About Datahouse Technology

Datahouse was founded in Fayette, AL in 1982 and. We have been providing technology related solutions to businesses throughout Alabama ever since. We are a family owned and run business and customers know us. Our current headquarters was established in Birmingham in 1987 in Perimeter Park South just off Highway 280. In 2014 we moved to downtown Birmingham near the heart of Five Points. For 30 + years we have provided Information Technology solutions to a variety of businesses including the Independent Pharmacy industry in the Southeast. Our services provided those businesses with the Information Technology solutions they required from their front door to the back door. Over the years these services allowed us to grow into a business that provides managed IT services to other businesses as well. Including corporate networks, servers, security, data protection and telephony. In 2010 we began providing data backup and recovery solutions to answer the needs of our clients. They needed a solution that would help them meet HIPAA requirements for a lot of their data. These requirements mandated that they have their data protected on-site and off-site in the event of a disaster. Not only did this data need to be off-site, but it needed to be encrypted in a fashion to guarantee its security. The solution we selected not only helped us meet those needs but also takes it a step further by being FIPS 140-2 validated by the National Institutes of Standards and Technology. This would safe harbor an entity in the event of protected data being breached. We have grown to apply this solution to a variety of business’s to protect their data as well. Data is the core of any business and it must be protected and have a means of quick recovery in the event of failure at the source.
