About Daughter of the Stars Theater and Cultural Center

The formation of the Daughter of the Stars Theater and Cultural Center began earlier this year, in May of 2021. The building, originally a movie theater, is almost 100 years old. We are in the process of transforming it into a cozy 80 seat theater for live entertainment. Our vision includes live webcasting of shows to our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOPMSfIkzPm0uAjoxDL9Vxg where people around the world can experience the intimate setting and the recordings can be viewed and shared for years to come. The construction is underway, the stage is built, and we are on track to start live shows in the spring of 2022. From the cultural center perspective, we have a YouTube series called A Closer Look: The Shenandoah Valley where we explore the history, culture, and music of the Shenandoah Valley. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUpXcrVZaaI_tFD6CsqDH10imby2IqTWV On this channel, we feature relevant, interesting, and engaging content for an audience of history enthusiasts and the like.
